Pivot-tec® is a unique engineering innovation that enhances seating comfort through the identification of three essential pivot points. This system integrates a weight-activated mechanism that allows the chair to recline smoothly and synchronously with the user’s movements. By precisely coordinating these pivot points, Pivot-tec® ensures a natural, intuitive recline that supports the body dynamically, promoting better posture and reducing fatigue during extended periods of sitting.

The seat and back of Ricco feature a bespoke fabric that artfully blends boucle with nylon monofilament yarns. This unique combination marries advanced textile technology with a sense of luxury, creating a material that offers both durability and refined texture. Crafted exclusively for Ricco the resulting fabric resembles a mesh in function but defies expectations in appearance and feel, delivering breathability and support without sacrificing elegance.

Ricco was designed by Martin Ballendat from Studio Ballendat. Born in 1958 in Bochum, Ballendat (right) has been a powerful force in interior and industrial design for over 25 years, known worldwide for his elegant and timelessly simple creations. His striking designs have earned him international acclaim, along with numerous prestigious awards throughout his career.
