Ultrafabrics Unveils 'Infinite Loop'

At the start of December our London Showroom played host to an engaging Ultrafabrics event, featuring a presentation on their Colour Impact Report and a thought-provoking panel discussion on the integration of AI in the interior design industry. The panel was graced by industry luminaries, each bringing a unique perspective to the discourse.

Simon Chuck, Creative Lead at New Territory, shared insights drawn from his extensive global agency experience, boasting an impressive client portfolio that includes IHG, British Airways, and Ford. Chuck’s passion for planet-first design and commitment to circular design principles underscored his role as a champion for climate-focused ambitions.

Kimberley Harrington, Automotive Advanced Design Sales Manager at Ultrafabrics, contributed her wealth of experience in crafting innovative, performance-driven materials for OEM design within the automotive industry. Her dedication to achieving both technical excellence and aesthetic appeal showcased the intersection of creativity and functionality in design.

Toni Black, Director of Interior Design & Partner at Blacksheep, added a touch of luxury to the panel with her outstanding track record in directing global luxury hotel projects. Notable projects such as the Montcalm East Hotel in London and the St. Regis in San Francisco highlight Black’s exceptional creativity and her pivotal role in fuelling Blacksheep’s success through partnerships with prestigious brands like Ritz Carlton and W Hotels.

Alys Bryan, Managing Editor at Design Insider, expertly moderated the discussion, ensuring a dynamic and insightful exploration of AI’s role in shaping the future of interior design.

The event started with a sneak preview into Ultrafabrics’ Color Impact report for 2024/2025, aptly named ‘Infinite Loop.’ The report, curated by Ultrafabrics’ forward-thinking product development team in collaboration with a global trend forecasting agency, explores the anticipated influence of colour and texture on design for the upcoming year. ‘Infinite Loop’ comprises five distinct concepts, reflecting on the continuous cycle between technological advancement and a yearning for the familiar.

Genevieve Boaler, Ultrafabrics’ Marketing & Brand Manager, presented a preview from the report, showcasing the ‘Atmosphere’ concept. Described as technical, futuristic, and earthbound, Atmosphere explores the seamless integration of nature and technology. Natural earth tones, influences, and materials are cleverly offset with technological processes, shimmering effects, and metallics, offering a glimpse into the future of design.

The Ultrafabrics event at the Senator | Allermuir London Showroom provided a platform for industry leaders to discuss the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and luxury in interior design, leaving attendees inspired and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
