Obris’s welcoming design is available as a chair plus a two and three seater sofa, creating a series of flexible and contemporary furniture suitable for any lounge or hotel lobby.
The distinct appearance is made using an innovative upholstery technique on the outer body – tensioned fabric is shaped over Obris’s expressive frame, adding comfort, increased rigidity and a weight reduction – creating a light and elegant visual across all sizes and variants.
Obris’s soft frame and clean lines, contrasted with its weighted and generously sized cushions, creates a distinctive silhouette heavily inspired by traditional Scandinavian design merged with instant comfort.
Design - Jonas Wagell
Jonas Wagell is a Swedish architect and designer born in 1973. The studio JWDA was founded in 2008. Wagell’s architecture work is perhaps most known for the prefab house concept Mini House (2007-2012), early recognized by Wallpaper* Magazine which named him one of the “world’s 50 hottest young architects” shortly after graduation in 2008. Described as minimalist designer. He was introduced to design through an interest in graphics, print and typography and perhaps this that has influenced today’s work with simplistic and clear, but expressive design language.
